The California Wellness Foundation
i.e. has led several multi-year violence preventions public education campaigns with Cal Wellness, and has provided strategic consulting to the Foundation’s communications department for nearly two decades. Highlights also include media relations and videos for the California Peace Prize and its Champions of Health Professions Diversity.
Stuart Foundation: The Education Equals Partnership
i.e. serves as a key member of the implementation support team for the Education Equals Partnership, an initiative of the Stuart Foundation that is driving better outcomes for students from foster care. In this role i.e. facilitates the Partnership’s statewide collective impact and communications efforts through the design, delivery and management of an online Community of Practice, in-person convenings, and a suite of communications tools.
California Child Welfare Co-Investment Partnership
i.e. serves as a senior-level facilitator and advisor to this influential collaboration of foundations and government agencies. We monitor child welfare media, policy, and practice issues across the state and facilitate information sharing and collaboration. i.e. also develops the partnership’s communications materials and reports, including insights, an ongoing publication that examines the links between data, policy, and outcomes for California’s most vulnerable children and families.
California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF)
i.e. communications assists the California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF) in examining ways to better integrate data into local health policymaking. This effort is part of CHCF’s larger Free the Data initiative focused on both improving access to government data and catalyzing use of those data by multiple stakeholders – journalists, entrepreneurs and developers, consumers, and local policymakers. Along with conducting researching on desired aspects for the tool, i.e. coordinates the Innovation Roundtable, comprised of county supervisors and their staff, leaders in health departments, and representatives from state agencies. The Innovation Roundtable provides guidance both on the desired content and design approaches for the health data tool.
